Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Lodgr.ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including individual practitioners and firms.

2. Description of service

Lodgr provides HMRC deadline intelligence, client management, document tracking, and AI email drafting tools for UK accounting firms. The Service calculates HMRC and Companies House filing deadlines based on publicly available company data and user inputs.

While we strive for accuracy, Lodgr is a tool to assist your practice — not a substitute for professional judgement. You remain responsible for verifying deadlines and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.

3. Account registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at hello@lodgr.ai if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes related to accounting practice management. You must not:

Use the Service to store or process data unrelated to accounting practice management.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or the Service's infrastructure.
Use automated systems to scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service.
Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission.

5. Subscription and payment

The Service is available under multiple subscription plans as described on our pricing page. The Solo plan is free. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. All prices are in GBP and exclude VAT.

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Data ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including client information, job data, and document records. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data.

You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This licence terminates when you delete your account.

7. AI email drafting

The AI email drafting feature generates suggested email content based on your inputs. Generated content is provided as a suggestion only. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all email content before sending.

AI-generated content is processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Your client data is not used to train AI models.

8. Availability and support

We aim to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. Support is provided via email at hello@lodgr.ai.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lodgr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@lodgr.ai or through your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these terms.

Upon termination, we will delete your data within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the application at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
